What is ProgressiValues?

ProgressiValues is a political quiz aimed at cultural progressives that attempts to assign percentages for ten different political values. If you are not a progressive or cultural leftist, this test is obviously not suited for you. You will be presented by a statement, and then you will answer with your opinion on the statement, from Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree, with each answer slightly affecting your scores. At the end of the quiz, your answers will be compared to the maximum possible for each value, thus giving you a percentage. Answer honestly!

There are questions in the test.

What are the ten values?

MODERATE

Moderate progresssves are more accepting of conservative ideas, yet they still fall onto the progressive end of the cultural spectrum.

RADICALITY

RADICAL

Radical progressives are not accepting of conservative ideas and want to radically change society far beyond the status quo.

SOCIALIST

Socialists believe that the capitalist status quo is unjust and that it needs to be overthrown and that the workers need to own and/or seize the means of production.

ECONOMICS

CAPITALIST

Capitalists believe that the means of production should fall into the hands of employers and that the ideal economy is one based off of a free market capitalist system.

AUTHORITARIAN

Authoritarians believe that the role of the state should be maximised and that the only way to effectively implement policy is with the use of a large state.

CIVIC

LIBERTARIAN

Libertarians believe that the role of the state should be limited (or abolished) and that individual autonomy and liberty are priorities.

NATIONALIST

Nationalists believe that one's own nation is superior to others and that things should be done for the nation not not for the world as a whole. Usually, nationalists would support borders and a strong military.

NATION

GLOBALIST

Globalists believe that all nations must reject borders and unite into a one-world union. These people look down on the idea of nations and/or national sovereignty.

What's the "Closest Match" mean at the bottom of the results?

In addition to matching you to the ten values, the quiz also attempts to match you to a political ideology. This is a work in progress and is much less accurate than the values and axes, so don't take it too seriously. If you disagree with your assigned ideology we'll look into adjusting the system.

I don't like my scores!
